the rain’s reign / spider hacksaw / ©2013

“The rain is descending in droves, meticulous untethered ribbons of downward flanking shanks and blows, sleek liquid stretchmarks in alignment to God and Hell, the rain scours me seamless, cleaning me, drenching my senses, ebbing my woes, threading cold strips of languid vertical streams through my impending night’s slippery dreams.

But alas, it never lasts, and instead cascades hurriedly into the past, leaving me wanting more of the same, i beg for it to stay, so i bow my head and pray, let the rain’s reign remain, oh heavenly night, my molten stars of audible sight, let the rain’s reign remain.”
